What psychiatric evaluation includes
Everything you need, delivered securely by video.
A detailed clinical interview
History & medication review
A clear diagnosis
A plan you help shape
The foundation for everything that follows
An evaluation gives us a complete picture before any treatment decisions are made. We’ll talk through what brought you here, how long it has been going on, and how it is showing up in your sleep, work, relationships, and energy.
We also review your medical background, family history, past treatment, and any medications you take today. By the end, you’ll understand what may be driving how you feel and what a realistic path forward looks like.

Board-Certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Johanne founded Jowen Wellness Center to offer the kind of psychiatric care she believes everyone deserves: unhurried, warm, and grounded in current evidence. Every plan starts with listening — to your history, your goals, and what daily life actually feels like for you right now.
Her clinical focus is women’s mental health, with particular experience supporting anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, and the stress that comes with big life changes. Her style is approachable and easy to talk to — while staying clear and practical about next steps.

Common questions about psychiatric evaluation care
How long is the first appointment?
Initial evaluations run longer than follow-ups so we can cover your history thoroughly. You’ll receive exact timing when you schedule.
Do I need a referral?
No. You can book a free consultation directly. Records from previous providers are welcome but not required.
Will I leave with a diagnosis?
Often, yes. Sometimes a follow-up visit is needed before we’re confident — and if so, we’ll explain why.
Do you accept my insurance?
Johanne is in-network with Optum & UnitedHealthcare (UHC | UBH). If you have a different plan, self-pay is available and we can talk through your options.
How much does a visit cost without insurance?
Self-pay rates are $300 for the initial psychiatric evaluation and $175 for follow-up visits. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
How soon can I be seen?
Submit the form or book online and we’ll reach out to schedule your free consultation, usually within 1–2 business days.
