What medication management includes
Everything you need, delivered securely by video.
Evidence-based choices
Shared decisions
Consistent monitoring
Adjustments when needed
Thoughtful prescribing, steady follow-through
Medication can make a meaningful difference — and it works best with close attention. Before anything is started or changed, we talk openly about likely benefits, possible side effects, and alternatives, so the decision is genuinely yours.
Regular follow-ups let us see how you’re responding, catch side effects early, and fine-tune the dose or approach. Already taking psychiatric medication? We’ll review what’s helping and what isn’t.

How it works.
Evaluation first
Every prescription follows a complete psychiatric evaluation.
Decide together
We agree on whether medication fits your plan — and which option.

Johanne founded Jowen Wellness Center to offer the kind of psychiatric care she believes everyone deserves: unhurried, warm, and grounded in current evidence. Every plan starts with listening — to your history, your goals, and what daily life actually feels like for you right now.
Her clinical focus is women’s mental health, with particular experience supporting anxiety, depression, burnout, trauma, and the stress that comes with big life changes. Her style is approachable and easy to talk to — while staying clear and practical about next steps.

Common questions about medication management care
Is medication required?
No. It’s one option among several. Your plan may include therapy referrals and practical strategies instead of — or alongside — medication.
How often are follow-ups?
More often when starting or changing a medication, then spaced further apart once you’re feeling stable.
Where are prescriptions sent?
Electronically to the Florida pharmacy of your choice.
Do you accept my insurance?
Johanne is in-network with Optum & UnitedHealthcare (UHC | UBH). If you have a different plan, self-pay is available and we can talk through your options.
How much does a visit cost without insurance?
Self-pay rates are $300 for the initial psychiatric evaluation and $175 for follow-up visits. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.
How soon can I be seen?
Submit the form or book online and we’ll reach out to schedule your free consultation, usually within 1–2 business days.
