Understanding it

Understanding substance use concerns

Substance use and mental health are closely linked. Many people drink or use to manage anxiety, low mood, stress, or sleep — which can make those symptoms worse over time.

We offer a confidential evaluation, treatment for co-occurring conditions, and referrals to specialized programs or higher levels of care when that’s the safest, most helpful option.

FAQ

Common questions about substance use concerns care

Is online treatment effective for substance use concerns?

For many people, yes. Telehealth psychiatric care offers the same evaluation and medication management as in person, with the convenience of home. If in-person care would serve you better, we’ll say so.

Will I need medication?

Not necessarily. Medication is one option among several, and your plan is built with you — it may also include practical strategies and therapy referrals.

Do you accept my insurance?

Johanne is in-network with Optum & UnitedHealthcare (UHC | UBH). If you have a different plan, self-pay is available and we can talk through your options.

How much does a visit cost without insurance?

Self-pay rates are $300 for the initial psychiatric evaluation and $175 for follow-up visits. HSA and FSA cards are accepted.

How soon can I be seen?

Submit the form or book online and we’ll reach out to schedule your free consultation, usually within 1–2 business days.

Do I need a referral?

No. You can request an appointment directly.
